A native of Calgary, Canada, she relocated when her YouTube channel was discovered by veteran songwriter Rhett Akins, who signed her to...a songwriting deal and brought her to Tennessee. Sykamore signed with HomeTeam Publishing, founded by Akins and his son, country star Thomas Rhett.
